We produce our transcriptions of books in an open and adaptable intermediary format. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to customise our books to your needs, whatever they are.
The flexible format of the books in our library makes them suitable for use with many kinds of assistive technology, including electronic Braille readers and text-to-speech converters. Alternatively the books are easily adapted for reading onscreen in the format you prefer.
We have a team of volunteers constantly adding new books to the library by scanning originals, converting the scans to Microsoft Word format, and using Word styles to structure documents before they are uploaded to our library.
The way we style documents makes our books easy to navigate and straightforward to customise to the way you like to read.
